San Francisco (/ˌsæn frənˈsɪskoʊ, fræn-/, Spanish: [sam fɾanˈsisko]; Spanish for “Saint Francis”), officially City and County of San Francisco and colloquially known as SF, San Fran, or “The City”, is the cultural, commercial, and financial center of Northern California.
